Ranchos of Orange County, by Virginia Carpenter, is the first book to offer a detailed account of the Spanish and Mexican landgrants in Orange County. The book tells of the land’s history, and recounts stories of the various owners and the changes Orange County has seen over the last 200 years.

Doug Westfall is a local historic publisher (The Paragon Agency Publishers). For over 15 years he has studied our local history. Mr. Westfall has spoken internationally and in local libraries and schools, telling fascinating stories of true-life experiences. Several of his published works, including Ranchos of Orange County, will be available for purchase in Casa ‘La Paz’.
