Please join us as plein-air artist Mark Kerckhoff features his newest work at Casa ‘La Paz’. His works feature jewels of California landscapes and the southern deserts. Familiar landmarks highlighted in his paintings include the Dana Point Headlands, the area of the San Juan Creek, and California’s central coast.

At Tree of Life we believe that traditional landscape paintings and native plant gardens are similar because in each situation, nature is interpreted by the artist in the context of a “framed” setting, and presented close-at-hand for all to see and experience.

Mark Kerckhoff is a treasure in southern California and his art is well recognized throughout the west.  When Mark participates in art shows and competitions, he often brings home the prize.  He is most well known for his color and tone, especially in his desert paintings.
