Here at the nursery, we constantly admire the miracle of life that surrounds us. The architectural form of a tree, the intricate detail of a web, the patterns on a leaf, the various translations of birdsongs and calls, the scent of sagebrush in the air…
These images capture the experience of the California garden. By sharing these bits of our experiences with nature, we hope to inspire an ethic of wilderness; where we become intimately familiar with the components of healthy ecosystems. When nature is close at hand, we are no longer detached, but can participate and realize our role as caretakers of the larger landscape.
